“I’ve been asked why I want to be on the Board of Directors for Citrus Valley Association. I feel that the Association needs people in leadership that have “paid their dues,” people that can move our Association forward in good times and hard times. I feel that I am qualified. I have always had a positive, “can do” attitude to the challenges and opportunities that is leading this organization into the future”.
I’ve enjoyed the involvement with Citrus Valley Association of REALTORS® and served two terms as Director of our Association, served as chairman of several committees, to name a few: Government Affair; Board of Directors; Budget & Finance; Bylaws; BORPAC; Professional Standards; Nominating and Personnel Committees,
I’ve been a California Association of REALTORS® Director over 25 years and received the California Association of REALTORS® Distinguished REALTOR® in 2007 and Director-for-Life in 2002. Currently, a Liaison to five political committees and chaired over six committee name a few: Standard Form Advisory Committee, Political Affairs; Federal Issues; CREPAC; Legal Affair; Long Ranging Planning and numerous committee and Task Forces. I served on the Executive Committee 2010, 1995, and 1992, Regional 26th Chairman 1991.
Currently a director for the National Association of REALTORS®, have chaired three committees, currently serving as RPAC Trustee. Other committee’s: REALTOR® Political Action Committee, Expo; Issue Mobilization; Land Use & Environment Property Rights Forum Committee and a member of the Public Policy Coordinating Committee. Legislative Political Forum; Political Communication; Risk Management and Risk Reduction; Real Estate Finance and Conventional Committee and many more.
In mid May, I was recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® for contributing $25,000 to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. My name was placed on the Hall of Fame wall outside a roof top terrace at the National Association of REALTORS®, Washington, D.C. building.
I have the understanding of today’s industry and its issues have evolved from over 35 years as a REALTOR®, broker/associate-manager and prior years of owner of a real estate office. My professional involvement in the industry underscores my dedication to the profession.
I feel that we must listen to the members of our Association and help set their agenda, not ours. As a director we must strive to serve them by keeping the cost down, at whatever the cost.
Every challenge represents an opportunity and how we react to this, in particular, the support and services we provide our members, will determined the future potential for growth and vitality of the organization. I believe that I have been an active participant in the industry and have given a positive contribution to that process.”
With your support and confidence, I would like your VOTE for Citrus Valley Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors.
Thank you. Sharon Bowler, Broker/Associate-Manager RE/MAX Masters, Chino Hills/Covina South |
