New Legal Articles from C.A.R.
Member Legal Services has published a new legal article, Fictitious Business Names (November 6, 2008). It is available on Legal's What's New and the Legal Articles pages on C.A.R. Online. This new legal article provides a detailed explanation of what a fictitious business name is, when a fictitious business name statement must be filed, the procedures involved, as well as specific information for real estate licensees who want to use a fictitious business name for their sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation.
Member Legal Services has published a revised legal article, Firestorms: Basic Real Estate Legal Issues (November 17, 2008). It is available on Legal's What's New and the Legal Articles pages on C.A.R. Online. There have been no substantive changes to the law on this revised legal article. All the resource links and phone numbers have been verified as accurate. In addition, a link has been added to the Real Estate Resources page under “Fire Disaster Assistance” that contains the most updated regulatory information from the Department of Insurance and other government agencies.
