The SFR Certification will give you a framework for understanding how to:

• Direct distressed sellers to finance, tax, and legal professionals
• Qualify sellers for short sales
• Develop a short-sale package
• Negotiate with lenders
• Tap into buyer demand
• Safeguard your commission
• Limit risk
• Protect buyers

To receive the SFR Certification, you must complete the one day core course and successfully pass the exam, as well as view three 1-hour Webinars and submit completed application ($175 application fee waived through March 31, 2010).

NAR's Short Sales and Foreclosures Course also meets the elective course requirement for the ABR® Designation awarded by the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC). For more information about the ABR® Designation, visit http://www.car.org/education/designations/abr/

Transfer, cancellation and refund policy:

You may transfer to a future session or cancel without penalty at any time up to seven (7) days prior to your course. If you provide C.A.R. Education with less than a seven (7) day notice, or fail to attend, you will be liable for the entire course fee. Cancellations, transfers, and refunds must be received in writing by email to Cecilia at ceciliam@car.org. Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment that was made. Please allow two weeks for processing. Registrants who cancel will not receive course materials or may be subject to a cancellation fee for downloadable PDF materials.
