Did you know there are some really nice programs and utilities on the Internet that are spyware free and cost free? I would like to start with a few of my favorites. Free online anti-virus scanning is available at http://www.trendmicro.com. If you would rather have a fully functional INSTALLED anti-virus, check out http://free.grisoft.com and download AVG Free Edition anti-virus. One of the best anti-malware/anti-spyware programs I know of is available at http://www.ewido.com. Ewido anti-malware is an excellent program for reigning in those rogue spyware, adware, and malware programs that run rampant on the Internet nowadays. The program is fully functional for 30 days, after which it becomes a "free" version that you can still update and use to scan your computer. Microsoft also has Windows Defender which you can get more information and download at http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx. Don't forget my old favorites Ad Aware and Spybot, you can find these great programs at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html respectively.
Did you know iMRMLS also has a couple goodies? Do you have Windows XP and need to resize photos for MLS upload? Try this link: http://imrmls.com/centsite/image_resizer.htm. For those of you that have a web site and you want to add your listings to it, iMRMLS has a link generator for your use. http://imrmls.com/centsite/link_generator.htm . Simply input your public ID and your office code (if you don't know this number, ask your Broker or Manager), choose the language you would like the links to be generated in and press the get links button. Copy these links and put them into your web site or email them to your webmaster to do that part for you.
It's nice to see there are some good free programs still around, as always, be careful what you download. The programs I have given you here are safe, but there are a lot of imitators out there that will really mess up your computer. If you have any questions about these links or any other computer/tech related questions, feel free to call me at the office M-F 8a-5p (909) 305-2827.
